Pixel line art Tutorial written by Linda Yantin of adorable adornments
This tutorial is to show the technique of turning my pixel line arts into pixel paintings

Download the outline (Line Art) and save it to your hard drive.

Print out a copy of the two Tutorials. This one and the white out tut.

Click on the link below, and the white out tut will open in a new window.

Here is how I take the white out, so you can start painting with out tracing the image

on another layer.

Click here for white out tut.

Open your bear into your P.S. P. program. then copy  paste as a new image.

Save one to your files

Zoom in on your bear with your zoom tool set on 5.1 .

Set your paintbrush at size 1 Opacity & density 100. use color#B28152 .

Then with your paintbrush follow the pixel outline on the bear's body

draw over the face as below using color #5A432C

Next we are going to follow the pixel outline on the dress
Same setting as above. We are using color #C37171 for the dress.

Now for her heart once again follow the heart pixels and the text Using color #983C3C.

Now we are ready for coloring and shading.
Click in the the head with your magic wane set add feather and tolerance 0 and samples merged, and flood fill with #EAD691 keep it selected and click on selections/float and then click on effects and choose 3rd cutout effect set at vertical 1 horizontal 1 and blur 3.5 using shade #C29E6A. do the same for the ears and muzzle.. Now for the arms and legs also use the same setting colors and shading only you at blur 4.5 select none.

Next is her dress. Same settings on your magic wane. click in the dress parts and flood fill with color #ECC4C4 keep it selected and click on selection/float and then go to effects/3rd cutout blur 4.5 using shade #D17777.

Last is her cute little heart. Click in her heart with magic wane and flood fill with #D17777. Keep selected again and go to selections/float and then effects/3rd cutout using shade #983C3C

Now some detail work. . Let's put some dots onto her dress using color #FFFFFF and paint her little  mouth with color# D78989  We are also going give her rosy cheeks . Open a new raster layer and with your paintbrush and color #E8AEAB paint one cheek and then select effects  and choose more Blur. Go to layer duplicate and then image mirror. Then select your mover tool and place the duplicated cheek on the other side. Layers merge

and here she is as a sample logo

Layers merge visible, and edit/copy and paste as a new image.

All done, that was fun!
